The Leading Forward Executive Forum is open to chief philanthropy officers, executive directors, and other senior-most philanthropy professionals.

This fast-paced, fundamental workshop is highly recommended for those new to philanthropy, including front-line fundraisers, board members, and support staff who need to understand the basic elements of fund development in healthcare. You will review key topics including major, annual, and planned giving, capital campaigns, policies, marketing, and more.

Attend the Awards Dinner

The AHP Awards Dinner will take place on November 7 at 6 pm ET. The event will honor AHP’s 2024 award winners, including the Si Seymour Award recipient, the Innovation in Philanthropy Award winner, Journal Award winner, the newest AHP Fellows, and the 2024 40 Under 40 class. Attire

Attire for the conference is business casual. We recommend bringing a jacket or light sweater, as temperatures can fluctuate in the air-conditioned meeting rooms. Attire for the Awards Dinner is cocktail. If you are planning to attend Sunrise Yoga on Thursday morning, bring appropriate athletic or comfortable attire you can move in. (Yoga mats will be provided.)

Fun with the Photo Scavenger Hunt

Make selfies more exciting, but participating in the conference photo scavenger hunt. Take a photo that fits these catagories, and post on your social media. Use the tag #AHPInternational in your post.

Selfie with a Speaker: Take a selfie with one of the keynote speakers after their presentation.

Networking Photo: Snap a picture with someone you’ve just met at the conference and share what you learned from them.

Scenic San Diego: Capture a photo of one of San Diego's iconic landmarks (e.g., the Gaslamp Quarter, Balboa Park, or the waterfront) and tag the location.

Session Highlights: Take a photo of your favorite slide or moment during a session and share why it stood out to you.

Expo Exploration: Post a picture with a booth or vendor in the exhibit hall and mention what interests you about their product or service.
