All the information you need to make the most of your time at the conference

Thursday, May 14 from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm
Friday, May 15 from 7 am - 12 pm
Attire is business casual. We also suggest bringing a sweater or light jacket—hotel meeting rooms can sometimes be a bit chilly, and we want you to stay comfortable throughout the day.
In May, the average temperature in Calgary is a pleasant 17°C, with nighttime lows reaching around 3°C. Expect cool mornings and the possibility of spring showers—packing a light jacket and an umbrella is a good idea. Also, don't forget your Western wear for the social event on Thursday, May 14 (6-7:30pm at the National 10th).
Stay connected and get the most out of your conference experience by downloading the AHP app! It’s your go-to spot for schedules, updates, and everything you need—plus, it's the same app for all AHP events. We’re excited to introduce Cohort Groups—a new way to deepen connections and bring your conference experience to life.
All registered full-conference attendees will be placed into a small, pre-assigned cohort that will meet once each day of the conference. These groups are designed to create a consistent space for connection, reflection, and application—so you’re not just attending sessions, but also engaging in meaningful conversations with the same group of peers throughout the event.
Each cohort will be supported by facilitators who will help guide the conversation and ensure an engaging, inclusive experience. We hope this new format helps you build lasting connections and walk away with ideas you can immediately put into practice.
Day 1 | Wed, May 13 (4:30–5:15 PM)
Building Meaningful Connections – Get to know your cohort by sharing backgrounds, goals, and current challenges.
Day 2 | Thurs, May 14 (3:00–3:45 PM)
Turning Insights into Ideas – Reflect on key takeaways from sessions and exchange perspectives on how ideas apply to your work.
Day 3 | Fri, May 15 (10:45–11:45 AM)
From Ideas to Action – Identify practical next steps and turn insights into strategies you can implement post-conference.
Back by popular demand, the share table is the place for you to give or get ideas for your print collateral. Bring your extra brochures, newsletters, or other pieces to leave as examples for your peers—and pick up samples from other organizations to give you new ideas! You’ll find the share table near the registration desk.
The Hospital Development and Education Fund (HDEF) of Canada and the Gord Durnan Fund designate funds for the sole purpose of providing scholarship assistance to healthcare development professionals in Canada. Several attendees are at the conference thanks to these scholarships. Your donation helps keep education accessible. Donate here.
